Isola Madre, located in the centre of theBorromean Gulf, is the largest of the islands on Lake Maggiore.

Isola Bella:Right in front of Stresa, Isola Bella is famous for its castle, purchased by Charles BorromeoIII and dedicated to his bride, Countess Isabella D’Adda. The Palace's opulency, the gardens and the terraces, the theatre and the mysterious grottos dedicated to marine animals and flowers, the music room and the marble room make this building a rare beauty well worth a visit, a trasure chest of Art and Culture.
